Structural Engineering Firm Changes Name (Thursday November 01, 2007) -
On November 1, 2007, MacIntosh Engineering, a full service structural engineering firm headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, unveiled their new name. Formerly known as O’Donnell, Naccarato & MacIntosh, the new name reflects a changing ownership and management team. President Bob MacIntosh assures that only their name has changed. MacIntosh Engineering remains the same group of experienced, responsive, customer-focused professionals that have served the design community in the past decade. 
 
The MacIntosh Engineering team has designed landmark projects that have reshaped the skyline and strengthened the economic life of Wilmington, Del., including the WSFS Headquarters at 500 Delaware Ave., the AAA Mid-Atlantic Headquarters and the Renaissance Building. The company has assembled one of the finest structural engineering teams in the region; thirty skilled professionals in Wilmington and its branch offices in Exton, Pa. and Georgetown, Del. offer a comprehensive array of structural engineering services ranging from conceptual design consultation to value engineering.

MacIntosh Engineering provides Structural Engineering for Award-Winning Projects (Monday October 29, 2007) -

Over the past year, MacIntosh Engineering has been providing structural engineering services for numerous high-profile, signature projects in New Castle County and beyond.

MacIntosh Engineering projects which won awards at the recent 2007 AIA Delaware Convention include the Barclay's Christina Crescent Building, the George & Lynch Corporate Headquarters Building and the Union Hospital Adult Daycare.

MacIntosh Engineering projects which have garnered 2007 ABC Delaware Awards include the Talley Middle School, the Tatnall School Performing Arts Center, the Christina Crescent Building, the Appoquinimink High School and the new Skyboxes at Dover Downs.

MacIntosh Engineering was established in Wilmington in 1999 and has grown to include 30 employees today.  The Wilmington, Georgetown and Exton offices provide complete structural engineering services including building design and analysis, parking garage design, facade restoration and building component design.

Community Service Drives MacIntosh Engineering (Monday October 29, 2007) -

This year, the MacIntosh Engineering team has again shown their commitment to a variety of community service initiatives.

In March, our staff participated in the annual Easter Seals volleyball tournament at the University of Delaware.  The event was a great way for the staff to bond and support a wonderful organization.  MacIntosh Engineering employees have walked for Light the Night, a walk in support of the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's research, a 50 mile/three day walk for Muscular Sclerosis, The Muscular Dystrophy Associtations "Lock Up", and the Race for Hope, a walk benefiting the Brain Tumor Society. 

Our team has also supported the Delaware Ballet's scholarship fund for inner-city youth, Habitat for Humanity's Women Build, ABC Cares events, the Rehoboth Beach Rotary's canned food drive and the Basket Brigade, a Thanksgiving food drive. 

It makes us extremely proud and humbled that all through the year, the MacIntosh Engineering staff has given unselfishly of their time and resources to support community service causes near and dear to their fellow employees. 

MacIntosh Engineering Relocates Georgetown Office (Monday October 29, 2007) -

MacIntosh Engineering, a full service structural engineering firm headquartered in Wilmington, Del., announces the relocation of their Georgetown office to larger accomodations in Sterling Square.  The new address is: MacIntosh Engineering, Sterling Square, 21133 Sterling Ave., Unit # 11, Georgetown, DE 19947

MacIntosh Engineering was established in Wilmington in 1999 and has grown to include 30 employees today.  The move to a larger office will accommodate an increase in staff size and project workload in the Georgetown office.

James R. Baker, P.E., a native of Milton, Del., and associate in the firm, continues to manage operations and business development for the Georgetown office, which serves the lower Delmarva Peninsula. 

Current projects for which the Georgetown office is providing structural engineering services include the Georgetown Library, The Brick Hotel renovation/expansion, Irish Eyes Restaurant, the Harrington Raceway office building, the Dover Down’s Speedway Master plan, The Compass Pointe and Collegian projects in Dover.

The Wilmington, Georgetown and Exton offices provide complete structural engineering services including building design and analysis, parking garage design, facade restoration and building component design.

MacIntosh Engineering's President, Robert T. MacIntosh, P.E., continues to lead the firm and direct the firm's strategic growth initiatives, with Peter J. Paton, P.E., LEED, and Steven T. Krumenacker, P.E. managing operations in the firm's Wilmington, Del. and Exton, PA offices, respectively.
